We’ve all heard the following phrases far too many times: “Press 2 for Spanish”, “Please listen carefully as our options have recently changed” and “We are experiencing a larger call volume than expected.”
The thing is, phone support is still a vital part of an omnichannel customer support experience. But the economics of personalized, top tier phone support are just not manageable if humans are the ones answering calls. As a result, many businesses are forced to limit or eliminate this channel outright. This restriction disproportionately hurts those who need phone support the most.
NowMachines is making great customer phone support available to all, regardless of language.
To deliver on this vision our main focus is to build multilingual voice AI agents that can quickly integrate with a business CX stack to solve issues on behalf of customers without the need for additional staff.
Our sweet spot is businesses with multilingual customers and organizations with complex phone trees. We want to give these businesses the ability to set up and manage a reliable and effective multilingual call center for a fraction of the cost of working with a Business Process Outsourcing firm (BPO) or an internal team.
Christian Orta and Ryan Stauffer first came across the problem of phone customer phone support while working through tough customer experience problems at a consumer health-tech company. They later confirmed this issue was top- of- mind for executives in consumer finance businesses, where they both have relevant experience.
Christian has deep product and go-to-market experience from his time leading change from the front lines at innovative tech companies that have focused on differentiated customer experiences, including Uber, Remitly, and Alto Pharmacy. As an immigrant himself, he has firsthand knowledge of the challenges that NowMachines is working to solve.
Ryan has engineering experience across the entire stack from his work at Palantir, Alto Pharmacy, and Stem Disintermedia, and has multiple reps at the “0-1” of building and shipping a complex, technical product, both single-handedly and as the leader of a team. He approaches engineering problems with a unique interdisciplinary approach informed by his background in finance, the US Army, and music.
